UNGUIDED ALASKA MOOSE HUNTING W/ CAMP GEAR RENTAL: $6,750/Person
Unfortunately, our Moose hunting for Non-Residents is not available at this point. Be sure and check back from time to time to see if the AKDF&G updates or changes this closure.
The Yukon Moose, the largest North American subspecies of moose .... and is one of the most popular hunts. For our resident hunters, you're in a position to come up and get one of these big boys via Permit hunting. If you're looking for a late season (extended dates/any-bull hunt) you'll have to come to Kotzebue in July to apply for the "Any Bull Permit". Keep in mind ... the Alaska Moose Hunting Season is not for the faint of heart. It's a tough hunt which will require a lot of physical and mental preparedness .... make sure you're up to the task before deciding on this hunt!
For our Non-Resident hunters, it's a bit more time consuming to try and pull a tag - as it is a Draw Application hunt. In Alaska, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game opens up the Application process on November 1st of each year for the following years hunt, providing draw results on the 3rd Friday of February in the year of the draw results. It's a little time consuming to pull a tag (sometimes years go by ....), but in Alaska there is no Preference Point system, meaning, everyone is on the same playing field and it's totally "luck of the draw". Alaska Unguided Moose Hunting Trips are well worth the wait!
Our Alaska Moose hunting is the most sought after hunt for those looking for a CHALLENGE .... Once you've taken aim & pulled the trigger, you best believe that's when the REAL work begins!
Unfortunately, our Alaska Moose Hunts have been canceled by the AK Department of Fish & Game due to low numbers.
Unguided Moose Hunting is one of the most challenging, yet rewarding hunts!!
